WHAT SHOULD I DO?

The yard has two kids' clubs - J-KiDZ and Rock Solid every Thursday, which are free for members.

J-KiDZ for 5-9 years at 16-17.30, and Rock Solid for 4.-7. class at 18.30-20.30.

In both clubs we do fun games and activities, talk about important topics such as friends, family, loneliness, courage, etc., and we always ask how the Christian view of life views it. Often, the adults also share a little of their lives.

We are looking for someone who wants to just be there in the period 16-18 (J-KiDZ) or 18.00-21 (Rock Solid).

You do not have to plan games or say anything if you just want to be with the kids - help them, support them, talk to them and be an "extra adult" for them.

There are often 20-30 children coming every Thursday that we want to see and hear.

So the more adults, the more ears.

WHAT IS IN IT FOR ME?

You will make a big difference for children who find a refuge at the Shipyard and who get the opportunity to talk about some of all that is difficult at that age.

You get the opportunity to talk to them about God, on a completely impractical level, with children, most of whom, do not believe in anything.

You will be invited to two annual volunteer parties at the Yard together with 80 other children and adults.

You are allowed to borrow the birthday room for free once a year.

HOW LONG SHOULD I SPEND?

We appreciate if you can come every other Thursday at. 18-21. If you can only come less often, it is also a help. But for the kids to get to know you, continuity is good.

You can fill out the template below. Then Sara contacts you and we make an appointment to meet for a cup of coffee where we can talk about what it might look like for you and what wishes you have :)
